Savings round up - 26th January

The stellar 4.55% from Marcus was very short lived and Chase pay a market leading 4.50% on easy access now. Next best rate in the market is 4.38% from Oxbury on their 180 Day Notice with OakNorth providing the best fixed rates - 4.35% for 1 Year and 4.34% for 9 Months Fixed via Meteor Savings. Cynergy bucked the trend with increases to their fixed rates and they move top of 18 Months, 4 and 5 Years and in to top five positions on 1, 2 and 3 Year Fixed. However, there were more reductions than increases as the leading rates nudge downwards as more post Base Rate cuts kick in. Here's our round up of the leading providers and rates in each category:

Easy Access

Chase continue to provide the best buy at 4.50% - but a huge 2% of this is via a 12 month bonus rate. West Brom Building Society move second as they reintroduce their Four Access Saver paying 4.15%. They move ahead of Shawbrook Bank, who pay 4.13%, which includes a 2.13% bonus. Vida Savings pay 4.11% but only four withdrawals are allowed per year of the rate plummets to 2.50%. UBL pay 4.06% via Raisin and Charter Savings Bank pay the same rate. Cahoot and Kent Reliance are locked at 4.05% with Chetwood Bank and Ford Money a whisker behind at 4.04%. Hampshire Trust Bank pay 4% and lead a plethora of banks at the same rate.

Notice

Oxbury Bank stay top of notice accounts with their 180 Day paying 4.38% and their 120 Day 4.34% - both tracking Base Rate. Shawbrook are next with their 120 Day Notice rate to 4.34%. GB Bank, who pay 4.33% for 120 Day Notice, are third. Stafford Building Society move up as they reintroduce their 180 Day Notice at 4.26% - however only two withdrawals are permitted per Society year. Market Harborough pay 4.25% for 145 Days Notice and 4.20% for 130 Days. OakNorth pay a slightly improved 4.23% on their 95 Days Base Rate Tracker (Base + 0.48%), as they add another couple of basis points to their rate, following last week's increase. UBL Bank pay 4.16% via Raisin for 95 DaysStreamBank pay 4.15% on 90 Days.

Up to 1 Year Fixed

Al Rayan Bank pay a best buy 4.22% via Meteor Savings for 6 Months Fixed. Oxbury Bank pay 4.16% as they reduce their rate and Al Rayan Bank also pay 4.15%, via Raisin, as do UBL Bank and Chetwood Bank. United Trust Bank are just behind at 4.14%.

OakNorth Bank pay a best buy 4.34% for 9 Months via Meteor Savings. Chetwood Bank are next buy way back at 4.13% for 9 Months, just ahead of United Trust Bank's 4.12% for the same term. 

1 Year Fixed

Wtih Marcus' stellar rate gone, OakNorth Bank pay a best buy 4.35% via Meteor's Savings platform. Al Rayan Bank pay 4.32% via Meteor Savings, via Raisin and direct. Cynergy Bank improve their rate to 4.24% and move above OakNorth Bank who cut to 4.23%. Union Bank of India also pay 4.23%. Chetwood Bank and UBL Bank are tied at 4.21% with LHV Bank completing the top 10 at 4.20%

18 Month Fixed

Cynergy Bank move top with both their 15 Month and 18 Month Fixed rates improved to 4.20%. United Trust Bank are next paying 4.10% for 15 Months Fixed and Union Bank of India pay the same rate but for 18 Months Fixed. Al Rayan Bank pay 4% via Meteor Savings alongside seven others.

2 Year Fixed

Al Rayan Bank pay a best buy 4.20% via Meteor Savings. Birmingham Bank pay 4.18% with Cynergy Bank just behind after their increased to 4.17%. Investec pay 4.16% and LHV Bank offer 4.15%. Chetwood Bank pay 4.12% and Atom Bank are just behind at 4.11%. Al Rayan Bank pay 4.10% via Raisin and direct as do Habib Zurich.

3 Year Fixed

Al Rayan Bank pay a best buy 4.22% via Meteor Savings. Cynergy Bank move second as they improve their rate to 4.18%. Birmingham Bank are next at 4.17% with Investec just behind at 4.16%. UBL Bank pay 4.15% via Raisin and direct. Similarly Al Rayan Bank pay 4.15% via Raisin and direct too. Chetwood Bank pay 4.12% and Atom Bank and Hodge are tied at 4.11%.

4 Year Fixed

Cynergy Bank are the new best buy as they improve their rate to 4.25%. UBL Bank are next paying 4.06% via Raisin and direct. Vanquis Bank are just behind at 4.05%. United Trust Bank pay 4% and JN Bank are just behind paying 3.99%.

5 Year Fixed

Cynergy Bank also top 5 Year as they improve to 4.30%. Hampshire Trust Bank stay second at 4.27%.  Chetwood Bank pay 4.25% and StreamBank's new 5 Year pays 4.20%. Birmingham Bank are joined by Castle Trust Bank at 4.17% with UBL Bank, who pay 4.16% via Raisin and direct just behind. Atom Bank and Close Brothers are tied at 4.15%.
