Savings round up - 3rd February

There was some cheer for savers as the best 1 and 5 Year Fixed rates both got uplifts with Meteor Savings providing the top paying 1 Year and Hampshire Trust likewise on 5 Year. Close Brothers came back to market with some very competitive fixed rates this morning but otherwise the market has been relatively stable for the past week. Easy access rates remain broadly similar although there's been a surprising amount of providers improving rates to around 4.10% - 4.15%, despite the cut in Base Rate. Here's our round up of the leading providers and rates in each category:
Chase continue to provide the best buy at 4.50% - but a huge 2% of this is via a 12 month bonus rate. West Brom Building Society's Four Access Saver pays 4.15% but that rate has been matched by Virgin Money. Their account is also limited access with just two withdrawals permitted per year. Shawbrook Bank pay 4.13%, which includes a 2.13% bonus. Spring Savings, a savings app from Paragon Bank, pays 4.11% and DF Capital are just behind as they relaunch at 4.10%. Charter Savings Bank pay 4.06%. Whiteaway Laidlaw launches on Hargreaves Lansdown paying 4.05%. The name is part of Shawbrook Bank who have revived the name of the original bank they purchased back in 2012, which was then rebranded Shawbrook. Cahoot and Kent Reliance are locked at 4.05% Hampshire Trust Bank pay 4% and lead a plethora of banks at the same rate.
Oxbury Bank stay top of notice accounts with their 180 Day paying 4.38% and their 120 Day 4.34% - both tracking Base Rate. GB Bank's 4.33% for 120 Day Notice is next. Stafford Building Society's 180 Day Notice pays 4.26% - however only two withdrawals are permitted per Society year. OakNorth pay 4.23% on their 95 Days Base Rate Tracker (Base + 0.48%). UBL Bank pay 4.16% via Raisin for 95 Days. StreamBank pay 4.15% on 90 Days and Vida Bank pay the same rate but for a slightly longer 95 Days Notice. Aldermore Bank improve their 45 Day Notice rate to 4.13%.
isbank pay a best buy 4.24% via Meteor Savings for 6 Months Fixed. isbank also pay the same rate via Raisin. Al Rayan Bank pay 4.22% via Meteor Savings and Cynergy Bank pay 4.17%, as they improved their rate to move ahead of Oxbury Bank at 4.16%.
OakNorth Bank pay a best buy 4.34% for 9 Months via Meteor Savings. United Trust Bank's 4.12% is the best direct rate ahead of LHV Bank at 4.10%.
Al Rayan Bank pay a best buy 4.40% via Meteor Savings. isbank pay 4.35%, also via Meteor Savings, but this is also available on Raisin too. Al Rayan Bank pay 4.32% via Raisin and direct. Cynergy Bank continue to pay 4.24%, a whisker ahead of OakNorth Bank who pay 4.23% alongside Union Bank of India. Chetwood Bank and UBL Bank are tied at 4.21% - a rate that Close Brothers have matched this morning.
Cynergy Bank remain top with both their 15 Month and 18 Month Fixed paying 4.20%. United Trust Bank are next paying 4.10% for 15 Months Fixed and Union Bank of India pay the same rate but for 18 Months Fixed. Al Rayan Bank pay 4% via Meteor Savings alongside seven others.
Al Rayan Bank pay a best buy 4.20% via Meteor Savings. Birmingham Bank pay 4.18% with Cynergy Bank just behind at 4.17%, which Chetwood Bank have matched as they nudged their rate up 0.05% last week. Investec pay 4.16% and LHV Bank offer 4.15%. RCI Bank pay 4.12%, as they improved their rate, and Atom Bank are just behind at 4.11% where they've been joined by Close Brothers who upped their rate this morning. Al Rayan Bank pay 4.10% via Raisin and direct as do Habib Zurich.
Al Rayan Bank pay a best buy 4.22% via Meteor Savings. Cynergy Bank have been joined in second by Close Brothers, who improved their rate to 4.18% to match Cynergy this morning. Chetwood Bank also increased their rate and now match Birmingham Bank at 4.17%. Investec are just behind at 4.16%. RCI Bank improve their rate to 4.15%. UBL Bank also pay 4.15% via Raisin and direct. Similarly Al Rayan Bank pay 4.15% via Raisin and direct too.
Cynergy Bank remain best buy at 4.25%. UBL Bank are next paying 4.06% via Raisin and direct. Vanquis Bank are just behind at 4.05%. United Trust Bank pay 4% and JN Bank are just behind paying 3.99%.
Hampshire Trust Bank move back to the summit as they improve their rate to 4.31%. Close Brothers improved their rate this morning to match them and Cynergy Bank remain just behind at 4.30%. Tandem Bank move up to fourth as they improve their rate to 4.28%. Chetwood Bank pay 4.25% and StreamBank's new 5 Year pays 4.20%. Birmingham Bank and Castle Trust Bank are tied at 4.17% with UBL Bank, who pay 4.16% via Raisin and direct, just behind.
