ISA round up - 15th April

The new ISA season has seen much less competition on easy access ISAs than we expected but fierce competition in the fixed ISA terms with some of the largest UK savings providers, surprisingly, appearing towards the top of the best buys. Santander and Nationwide are very strongly priced, Barclays and Lloyds are competitive in some terms and even HSBC has a 13 month rate of 4.50%. However, Chetwood Bank's rates on Hargreaves Lansdown are unbeaten bar Investec's 1 Year rate of 4.52%. We expect rates to tail off, once we get past the end of April, unless there's significant changes politically or an escalation of the war in Iran. Here's our round up of the best buys and key changes in Individual Savings Accounts:

Easy Access ISA

Plum still lead the way paying 4.61%, which includes a bonus of 2.07% for 12 months. Vida Savings pay 4.30% on their Triple Access ISA although the rate is cut to just 2.25% if more than three withdrawals are made. Monument Bank pay 4.28% which includes a bonus of 0.54% for 12 months. Atom Bank are just behind paying 4.25% but this is only open to new subscriptions, not transfers in. Cynergy Bank move up as they increased their rate to 4.17% to move above Vida Savings Double Access ISA at 4.16% - the rate on that account drops to 2.50% if more than two withdrawals are made per year. Virgin Money's Double Take ISA pays 4.15% but only allows two withdrawals. Aldermore's Single Access ISA pays 4.11%. Cambridge Building Society launched a Double Access ISA paying 4.10%.

Notice ISAs

Aldermore Bank pay a best buy 4.15% for their 60 Day Notice ISA. Stafford Building Society pay 4% on their 60 Day ISA but given easy access rates, it's difficult to justify looking below these two.
