ISA round up - 11th May

Easy access ISA rates have seen a little more competition with the top three providers all paying improved rates. Fixed ISAs continue to see plenty of competition with larger providers seemingly keener to compete for fixed ISA money instead of more expensive fixed rate bonds. Rates have nudged upwards accordingly and are much higher than financial markets expect Base Rate to go in the next few years. While the uncertainty with the Iran War and its potential inflationary impact make it very hard to predict where rates are going to go, it does feel that interest rates are overpriced and pricing in a much worse economic scenario than expected. Here's our round up of the best buys and key changes in Individual Savings Accounts:

Easy Access ISA

Plum still lead the way but are paying a slightly higher rate of 4.32%, which includes a bonus of 1.78% for 12 months. Moneybox improve to 4.30% although this also includes a bonus of 0.85%. Kent Reliance pay 4.27%, as they improve their rate, to move above Atom Bank at 4.25% - but Atom are only open to new subscriptions, not transfers in. Vida Savings Double Access ISA pays 4.16% - the rate on that account drops to 2.50% if more than two withdrawals are made per year. Virgin Money's Double Take ISA pays 4.15% but only allows two withdrawals. Aldermore's Single Access ISA pays 4.11%. Cambridge Building Society launched a Double Access ISA paying 4.10%. Vanquis Bank pay 4.08% on their Triple Access ISA where the rate drops to 2% if more than three withdrawals are made.
