ISA round up - 20th May
20/05/2026
Easy access ISA and fixed ISA rates have both jumped this week as competition drives pricing higher. There's some excellent rates available with almost a 1% premium to Base Rate on offer on 1 and 2 Year ISAs. Despite the outlook for imminent Base Rate increases looking unlikely, providers are continuing to increase rates and its a savers market currently. The uncertainty around the war in Iran makes it very hard to call where the market is going but there are some very attractive rates on offer at present. Here's our round up of the best buys and key changes in Individual Savings Accounts:
Plum still lead the way but are paying an improved rate of 4.60%, which includes a bonus of 2.06% for 12 months. Moneybox improve to 4.33% although this also includes a bonus of 0.88%. Vanquis Bank also improved their rate on their Triple Access ISA to 4.30%, although the rate drops to 2.25% if more than three withdrawals are made. Kent Reliance remain at 4.27% but Charter Savings Bank improve to 4.26% to move above Atom Bank at 4.25%. Atom are only open to new subscriptions, not transfers in. Virgin Money's Double Take ISA pays 4.15% but only allows two withdrawals. Aldermore's Single Access ISA pays 4.11% to complete the top 10.
Aldermore Bank pay a best buy 4.15% for their 60 Day Notice ISA. Stafford Building Society pay 4% on their 60 Day ISA but given easy access rates, it's difficult to justify looking below these two.
