Savings round up - 2nd June

Easy access rates have eased back slightly but fixed rates continue to rise with top spots changing hands with great regularity - Oxbury have dropped from top to ninth on 3 Year Fixed in the past 10 days! It's easy to forget that Base Rate is still at 3.75% with current pricing pushing closer to 5%. With forecasts for Base Rate to rise only once or twice in the next year, and some expecting no change, it seems crazy that we could see fixed rates back at 5% but it's looking distinctly possible. We have a fortnight to wait for the next MPC meeting to decide Base Rate but there's little hope of an increase this month or next - not that you'd tell from the pricing being offered! Here's our round up of the leading providers and rates in each category:
Chase remain best buy at 4.50% - but a huge 2% of this is via a 12 month bonus rate. Chorley Building Society are next paying 4.27% on their Online Double Access Saver where the rate drops to 0.90% if more than two withdrawals are made in a calendar year. Principality Building Society have a limited saver too - their rate is 4.25% but 1.95% of this is a 12 month bonus rate and withdrawals are limited to five per year. Hamphire Trust Bank pay 4.20% - the best rate with no restrictions or bonuses. Yorkshire Building Society pay the same rate but their online account is restrictred to three withdrawals per year. Cahoot stay priced at 4.17% ahead of Vida Savings, who continue to pay 4.16% on their Double Access Account, where the rate drops to 2.50% after more than two withdrawals per year. Virgin Money pay 4.16% too and their account is also limited to just two withdrawals per year. There's three providers paying 4.15% - LHV Bank, Coventry Building Society with their Four Access Saver and Family Building Society's Online Saver.
BLME lead the way with their 90 Day Notice paying 4.37%. Stafford Building Society's 180 Day Notice is next paying 4.26% - however only two withdrawals are permitted per Society year. QIB Bank pay 4.25% for 95 Days Notice via Raisin. Secure Trust Bank pay 4.21% for 95 Day Notice and Perenna Bank pay 4.20% on 90 Day Notice via Raisin. Castle Trust Bank are next with their 120 Day Notice rate paying 4.20%. Chetwood Bank enter the notice market with rates of 4.19% on 100 Day Notice and 4.06% on 70 Day. Cynergy Bank is next with their 120 Day Notice rate paying 4.18%.
AlRayan Bank lead the way paying an improved 4.45% for 6 Months via Meteor Savings. Hampshire Trust Bank are next paying 4.37% with Oxbury Bank just behind at 4.36% and GB Bank paying 4.35%.
Hampshire Trust Bank pay a best buy of 4.43% for 9 Months Fixed. United Trust Bank are next at 4.42% for 9 Months Fixed. Perenna Bank pay 4.40% for 9 Months via Raisin and fellow Raisin stablemate, Kuwait Finance House, pay 4.37%.
MBNA and Recognise Bank share top spot - both paying improved rates of 4.85%. JN Bank also move up - to 4.82% - as they move above previous leader, AlRayan Bank, who pay 4.80% via Meteor Savings. Close Brothers pay the same rate with Hodge and Union Bank of India tied at 4.76%. GB Bank pay 4.73% and National Bank of Egypt pay 4.70% via Raisin. UBL Bank continue to pay 4.68% to complete the top 10.
Union Bank of India pay a best buy 4.76% just ahead of Hampshire Trust Bank at 4.73%. United Trust Bank pay 4.60% on their 15 Month Fixed with six providers locked at 4.50% including Aldermore Bank via Raisin, Perenna Bank via Raisin, Aldermore and Close Brothers on Hargreaves Lansdown and Tesco Bank.
Recognise Bank lead the way paying 4.85% with Hodge Bank just behind at 4.83%. RCI Bank improve to 4.82% as do JN Bank and GB Bank. Afin Bank up their rate to 4.80% and last week's leader, Hampshire Trust Bank, remain at 4.77% but have been matched by Chetwood Bank. Union Bank of India and Close Brothers completed the top ten - both tied at 4.76%.
JN Bank top the pile paying 4.82% to nudge ahead of Hodge Bank, who had led with their rate of 4.81%. RCI Bank pay an improved 4.80% via Raisin and pay the same rate direct. GB Bank pay 4.80% too and Close Brother are a notch back at 4.79%. Chetwood Bank pay 4.78% and Secure Trust Bank 4.77%. Oxbury Bank still pay 4.76% but drop from top to ninth! Coventry Building Society complete the top top at 4.75%.
JN Bank pay a top rate of 4.82% as they move miles ahead of last week's leader, Oxbury Bank, who pay 4.58%. Aldermore Bank are just behind them at 4.55% with RCI Bank paying 4.50%. There's a steep drop then to Perenna Bank's new 4 Year on Raisin which pays 4.30%.
GB Bank pay a best buy 4.87%, just ahead of Hodge Bank at 4.86% and Afin Bank at 4.85%. JN Bank and Close Brothers are tied at 4.82% with Chetwood Bank at 4.81%. Hampshire Trust Bank, who continue to pay 4.79%, drop to seventh. Atom Bank pay 4.65% and Aldermore Bank pay 4.60%.
