Savings round up - 15th June

Easy access remain steady but fixed rates have nudged further up, albeit with far fewer movements than our last update. Afin Bank pay a market leading 4.90% on 5 Year Fixed as rates get very close to 5%. We think that's unlikely to be where we land and we expect a very quiet week until the Bank of England announce Base Rate on Thursday. While the odds are less than 5% for a change in rate, the commentary is likely to be key and any insights from the Governor on the outlook for Base Rate in the second half of the year. Markets are pricing in a rise to 4% later in the year but no more than that currently. Here's our round up of the leading providers and rates in each category:

Easy Access

Revolut are paying 5% for easy access but given this is only for a few months (until December) we have excluded it from our tables. Chase remain at 4.50% - but a huge 2% of this is via a 12 month bonus rate. Ulster Bank have come back to market with a Limited Edition account paying 4.30% - this also comes with a 12 month bonus, of 2.75%, in their case. Hamphire Trust Bank pay 4.24% - the best rate with no restrictions or bonuses. Cynergy Bank pay 4.23% with 2% as a 12 month bonus. Secure Trust Bank pay a straight 4.21% as they bring back their easy access account. Yorkshire Building Society pay 4.20% but their online account is restrictred to three withdrawals per year. Cahoot stay priced at 4.17% ahead of Vida Savings, who continue to pay 4.16% on their Double Access Account, where the rate drops to 2.50% after more than two withdrawals per year. Virgin Money pay 4.16% too and their account is also limited to just two withdrawals per year. There's three providers paying 4.15% - LHV Bank, Coventry Building Society with their Four Access Saver and Family Building Society's Online Saver.

Notice

BLME lead the way with their 90 Day Notice paying 4.37%. StreamBank are next as they improve their 90 Day Notice to 4.35%. Stafford Building Society's 180 Day Notice pays 4.26% - however only two withdrawals are permitted per Society year. QIB Bank pay 4.25% for 95 Days Notice via Raisin. Secure Trust Bank pay 4.21% for 95 and 90 Day Notice - the 95 Day Notice being a Base Rate Tracker at 0.46% above Base. Perenna Bank pay 4.20% on 90 Day Notice via Raisin. Castle Trust Bank are next with their 120 Day Notice rate paying 4.20%. 

Up to 1 Year Fixed

isbank pay a best buy 4.65% for 6 Months Fixed via Meteor Savings. Habib Zurich pay 4.46% as they come back to the market. Hampshire Trust Bank are next paying 4.37% with Oxbury Bank just behind at 4.36% and GB Bank paying 4.35%. 

isbank are also best buy for 9 Months Fixed paying 4.58% via Meteor Savings. Union Bank of India pay 4.47% and Hampshire Trust Bank pay 4.43% for 9 Months Fixed. United Trust Bank are next at 4.42% for 9 Months Fixed. Perenna Bank pay 4.40% for 9 Months via Raisin.

1 Year Fixed

MBNA are outright best buy paying 4.85% after Recognise Bank cut their rate. JN Bank remain at 4.82% but Habib Zurich improve their rate to 4.81%. AlRayan Bank pay 4.80% via Meteor Savings alongside Close Brothers and Afin Bank. Union Bank of India pay 4.76% ahead of GB Bank at 4.73% and isbank at 4.70% via Meteor Savings.

18 Month Fixed

Union Bank of India pay a best buy 4.76% just ahead of Hampshire Trust Bank at 4.73%. isbank launch their first 18 Month Fixed via Meteor Savings paying 4.72%United Trust Bank pay 4.60% on their 15 Month Fixed with six providers locked at 4.50% including Aldermore Bank via Raisin, Perenna Bank via Raisin, Aldermore and Close Brothers on Hargreaves Lansdown and Tesco Bank.

2 Year Fixed

Afin Bank lead the way paying 4.85% with Hodge Bank just behind at 4.83%. RCI Bank are a whisker behind at 4.82% alongside JN Bank and GB Bank. Hampshire Trust Bank remain at 4.77% alongside Chetwood Bank. Union Bank of India and Close Brothers are tied ahead of a trio of providers at 4.70%.

3 Year Fixed

Afin Bank top the pile paying 4.85% to nudge ahead of OXbury Bank at 4.83% and JN Bank at 4.82%. Hodge Bank improve their rate to 4.81% while RCI Bank remain at 4.80% via Raisin and pay the same rate direct. GB Bank pay 4.80% too while Close Brother are a notch back at 4.79%. Chetwood Bank pay 4.78% and Coventry Building Society complete the top top at 4.75%.

4 Year Fixed

JN Bank pay a top rate of 4.82% and are miles clear of Oxbury Bank who are next paying 4.58%. Aldermore Bank are just behind them at 4.55% with RCI Bank paying 4.50%. There's a steep drop then to Perenna Bank's new 4 Year on Raisin which pays 4.30%.

5 Year Fixed

Afin Bank pay a market leading 4.90% rate to move ahead of Oxbury Bank at 4.88%. GB Bank drop to third paying 4.87%, just ahead of Hodge Bank at 4.86% and Atom Bank at 4.85%. JN Bank and Close Brothers are tied at 4.82% with Chetwood Bank at 4.81%. Hampshire Trust Bank, who continue to pay 4.79% before a large drop to the next providers at 4.61%.
